The basis of our existence

Sun
There can be no life on earth without the sun.
You could say: the sun is a sphere of gas and fire.
The temperature of the sun is approximately 6000șC. This temperature is created through nuclear fusion processes.
Hydrogen is converted into helium.
Heat and light are released in the process.
This is called thermal energy and solar energy.
Only some of this energy ends up on earth.

The distance is almost 150,000,000 kms.

You use the thermal energy of the sun.
It makes you nice and warm.
But you can also heat water with it.
You can use that hot water.

You also use the light of the sun.
You can see around you because of this light.
Your body uses it to make vitamin D.

Plants grow thanks to the light of the sun.

You can also catch the light with solar cells.
Solar cells convert solar energy into electrical energy.

The sun provides light and heat through nuclear fusions.
The sun is vital for all life on earth.
The sun can be typified as a sphere of fire.
